トヨタは再生可能なエネルギーである太陽光発電の電力を活用し、水素を製造・貯蔵・供給できる小型の水電解式水素発生充填装置「SimpleFuel（シンプルフューエル）」を愛知県豊田市の元町工場に導入した。
